1. How long has Oiselle been around? Can you tell us a little bit about how and why you got started?
Oiselle’s first year in the market was 2007. However, the idea for Oiselle started several years earlier. After two kids and six years of “just running,” founder Sally Bergesen was ready to train and race again. But what what she thought would be a quick trip to the running store to buy new shorts ended in disappointment. Too poofy, too baggy, too high-waisted, and all wrong in the color department.
Over time – and many a long run – that disappointment became an idea. Not only about new women’s running apparel, but also about a new kind of company. A company that supports the woman runner from elite runners like Kara Goucher and Lauren Fleshman to women training to complete their first 5k.
2. What products does Oiselle specialize in?
We specialize in making women’s running apparel that empowers performance. When you look good, you feel good and when you feel good you’re unstoppable. Our beginnings are in shorts, and a single-minded mission to make a sleek (non-poofy) short, but now have a full line including super soft (wicking) running tees, tech, tanks, hoodies, jackets, pants…
3. What sets Oiselle apart from your competitors?
We are women runners, so what we create comes from a very personal place of passion. Our design team, headed up by Sally Bergesen, delivers unique beautiful styles, but we’re interested in the big picture. We believe in the power of the run, that when the legs go fast… the heart goes free.
4. We are SO excited to have Oiselle at Blend Retreat. How will you be involved this year?
We’ll be leading the Fun Run on Friday afternoon! A dynamic warm-up will be led by one of our Oiselle team runners, then off to pound the pavement.

Running! I’m training for a few races this summer/fall and need to check out Oiselle’s gear 🙂
I love running. That’s my #1 way to exercise but I’ve started branching out and now I’m kind of loving yoga and how it complements running so well. I also already follow Oiselle on Twitter and tweeted abut this giveaway! 😀

I love running but am currently injured so I’ve been doing cardio on an alter g and elliptical and increasing my weight lifting, only bw for my legs though cause of a stress reaction
