PROBAR Q & A + Giveaway!

April 8, 2013

The winners of the fitmixer GIVEAWAY are: #58: Teri, #11: Janet, #20: Tracey! Congrats!

————–

Happy Monday (said no one ever…)! How are you guys enjoying these Q & A Giveaways?? We love the format, as it gives you a chance to learn more about the great companies who will be at Blend, but also gives you the opportunity to WIN some of the goodies that will be in the Blend Swag Bags!

Today, we’re featuring PROBAR, a whole foods company that produces vegan, 100% organic energy and meal bars! Having been involved at Blend 2012, PROBAR was happy to sign on again this year as the HIKE sponsor for Saturday morning! We’re so thrilled to share their bars with each of the attendees before the hike (they’ll be sampling the new “Fuel” PROBAR’s, perfect energy for hiking in Park City!). Please read below and learn a little bit more about this unique company and their raw foods approach!

—————–

Q: How long has PROBAR been around? Can you tell us a little bit about how and why you got started?

A: PROBAR has been around for about 8 years. It started with our founders up on the slopes of Snowbird, Utah. They wanted real food to fuel them while skiing and they just so happen to be vegan chefs so put those two together and voila! You get PROBAR.

Q: What products does PROBAR specialize in?

PROBAR specializes in making simply real food. We keep it vegan, organic, and non-GMO so you know exactly what you are getting. Our most popular bar is our Meal bar but we just came out with a 20g protein bar, Core and organic energy chews, Bolt.

Bars

Q: What sets PROBAR apart from your competitors?

A: You can see the difference of a PROBAR by just opening up the package. You’ll notice whole fruits and nuts, but it doesn’t stop there. As soon as you take a bite, the blend of fruits and nuts combine to make a delicious, healthy bar.

Q: We are SO excited to have PROBAR at Blend Retreat. How will you be involved this year?

A: We love being apart of Blend Retreat! This year we are sponsoring the hike so you’ll have fuel to boost you up and down the Park City mountains!

shape-best-bar

Voted Best Meal Replacement Bar by Shape Magazine!

Q: We are excited to try your products at the retreat! But maybe we don’t want to wait.. so tell us, where can we find your products for purchase?

A: You will be able to find PROBAR at Whole Foods, REI, Sprouts, theprobar.com, and many local health food/outdoor shops. <- Side note: PROBAR is offering FREE SHIPPING on all orders over $75 at their website right now! A great deal!

Q: Is there anything else you would like to tell us about PROBAR?

A: At PROBAR, we love real food, we love what we do, and we laugh everyday!

There aren’t too many places to get in a good hike out in the flat lands of Nebraska, but when I go back to where I grew up in Washington, there is a place called tattoosh ridge…. one of the most beautiful places I have ever hiked.
